The articles in this series were written as a counter to a programme on BBC2 which attempted to explain some of the many ways in which the Moon interacts with the Earth. Unfortunately, several of the explanations were just so far from the truth that probably more harm than good was done in terms of educating the general public. It is my hope that these articles will go some way towards setting the record straight in the areas in which I have developed some expertise.
